Chabad New Orleans Aids Hurricane Victims

The Shluchim of the Rebbe in New Orleans, R. Zelig Rivkin and R. Yossi Nemes, who have recently escaped the onslaught of Hurricane Katrina, are now devoting their days and nights to providing assistance to hurricane victims.  They have set up "Command Centers" in Chabad Houses in nearby cities, and are helping survivors contact family members, find lodging and employment, and aiding them in resettlement.

R. Chaim Lazaroff, shliach in Houston, Texas, and R. Levi Klein of Memphis, TN, have also been very active in hurricaine aid.  These two cities have become absorption centers for the many people left homeless by the storm.
