Chol Hamoed Sukkos With the Rebbe

On Chol Hamoed Sukkos, in the presence of thousands of Chassidim, the Rebbe explained that it is both appropriate and important to wish a "gut Moed".  Moments later, the entire 770 rocked with a powerful roar of "Gut Moed" while the Rebbe looked on and smiled.

Both before and after the tefillos, the Rebbe encouraged the singing of "V'Samachta b'Chagecha".  To watch the video, click here.

Amongst the groups of guests spending Tishrei in Crown Heights, there is one that stands out:  The temimim of the Rebbe's own hometown of Dnieperpetrovsk, Russia.  Despite many difficulties, the group keeps growing from year to year.  The temimim were accompanied by yeshiva staff members R. Moshe Chaim Levin and R. Akiva Romanovsky.  In addition to the bachurim, a group of girls from Dnieperpetrovsk also arrived in Crown Heights.

Chol Hamoed "Luna Park" in Kfar Chabad

Thousands of children from across Israel enjoyed a huge "Luna Park" (amusement park) set up in Kfar Chabad for Chol Hamoed Sukkos.  The Luna Park was a project of Mateh Moshiach, under Agudas Chassidei Chabad of Israel.  The idea behind the Luna Park was to instill children with the concept of Moshiach in a fun and exciting way.  Huge signs set up around the park connected the various rides and attractions to concepts of Geulah.

In addition to the rides and trampolines, the park also featured a small petting zoo, pony rides, and a puppet theater.  In the center of the park was a huge video screen that constantly played videos of the Rebbe.
