The Prophecies of the Rebbe King Messiah are Popular in Vatican.

B"H
The Rambam writes in the Laws regarding Kings and their wars and the laws of King Moshiach that:
"Jesus of Nazareth who aspired to be the Moshiach and was executed by the court was also spoken of in Daniel's prophecies [Daniel 11:14], "The renegades among your people shall exalt themselves in an attempt to fulfill the vision, but they shall stumble."

"Can there be a greater stumbling block than [Christianity]? All the prophets spoke of Moshiach as the redeemer of Israel and their savior, who would gather their dispersed ones and strengthen their [observance of] the mitzvos. In contrast [the founder of Christianity] caused the Jews to be slain by the sword, their remnants to be scattered and humiliated, the Torah to be altered, and the majority of the world to err and serve a god other than the L-rd."

"Nevertheless, the intent of the Creator of the world is not within the power of man to comprehend, for [to paraphrase Yeshayahu 55:8] His ways are not our ways, nor are His thoughts our thoughts. [Ultimately,] all the deeds of Jesus of Nazareth and that Ishmaelite [i.e. Mohammed] who arose after him will only serve to pave the way for the coming of Moshiach and for the improvement of the entire world, [motivating the nations] to serve G-d together, as it is written [Zephaniah 3:9], "I will make the peoples pure of speech so that they will all call upon the Name of G-d and serve Him with one purpose."

"How will this come about? The entire world has already become filled with talk of [the supposed] Messiah, as well as of the Torah and the mitzvos. These matters have been spread among many spiritually insensitive nations, who discuss these matters as well as the mitzvos of the Torah. Some of them [i.e. the Christians] say: "These commandments were true, but are not in force in the present age; they are not applicable for all time." Others [i.e. the Moslems] say: "Implied in the commandments are hidden concepts that cannot be understood simply; the Messiah has already come and revealed them."

"When the true Messiah king will arise and prove successful, his [position becoming] exalted and uplifted, they will all return and realize that their ancestors endowed them with a false heritage; their prophets and ancestors cause them to err."
We can clearly see this coming to fruition worldwide as many abandon false beliefs and embrace the truth.
When even those who sit at the helm of the biggest church are watching, sharing, favoriting the the video detailing many of the prophecies of the Rebbe King Messiah Shlit"a:

it becomes even more apparent how the light of Moshiach penetrates into the depth of darkness to heal, purify and enliven the whole world.

Global Warming and Redemption

World Cooperation
The threat of global climate change has become increasingly accepted by people around the world. It has become clear that human activity is exacerbating the risk: Cars, airplanes, factories and power stations are all potent sources of gas emissions which create a heat-trapping layer around the globe, heating up the planet.

Along with better understanding of the problem has come a growing literature devoted to finding solutions. Scientists from diverse fields such as meteorology, astronomy, chemical and physical engineering are working together on the problem. For now, the solutions are focused on new technological advances that will be environmentally friendly, as well as social change to reduce consumption of oil and natural gas. Sources of energy that are being explored include solar, wind and water power, as well as geothermal energy, which harnesses heat from deep inside the earth. Cars and trucks are now being built according to more stringent specifications for mileage per gallon as well as limits on carbon emissions.

International sanctions have been imposed on countries that are not doing their part. There still is no magic wand that will solve all the environmental and energy problems in one blow. However, we see how people around the world are uniting in the face of a common threat. We realize that global climate change affects all of us; this is an apolitical issue that crosses international boundaries, and we need to work together to find a solution.daytona there still is no magic want that will solve all the environmental and energy problems in one blow.l as limits on carbon

It seems this unification of the global population is unprecedented in history. For generations, emperors sunk their resources and energy into waging war with one another, spreading destruction and disease in the process. Today, nations are investing energy in precisely the opposite purpose: the benefit of mankind as well as the planet as a whole, including plant and animal life.

Over 16 years ago, the Lubavitcher Rebbe King Moshiach (Messiah) spoke about the phenomenon of world leaders gathering together to agree upon mutual reduction of arms and conversion of military equipment to peaceful uses. Since that time, the phenomenon as only expanded. As the Rebbe said, this is a result of the process of Redemption which we are now experiencing.

We are entering into a new era, in which all people of the world will recognize their common origin and joint responsibility to serve as stewards of the planet. Together we will harness our insights and creativity to ensure that the world we live in is a safe, clean place for all its inhabitants.

Channel 2 Interview With Rabbi Brod

By the grace of G-d

Channel 2 Interview With Rabbi Brod

In a special television program dedicated to the Rebbe on Channel 2 in Eretz Yisroel, Rabbi Menachem Brod (who insists on denying that the Rebbe discontinued the title of Chabad spokesperson) was hosted. Channel 2 reporter Koby Ariely asked him: nowadays, when we say an Israeli kid 'The Lubavitcher Rebbe' the first association he makes is 'Moshiach', is this the success of the Moshiach campaign or is there some sort of misunderstanding here?...

Rabbi Brod answered as follows: I can only say one thing one this matter. The Rebbe was very hurt by such expressions, and on several occasions the Rebbe told Chassidim in charge of presenting Chabad to the media, not to speak about this matter.

While It is pleasing to note that he remembers the directive of the Rebbe to Tzach not to comment on the matter, it is a shame that he does not remember the tens of positive answers from the Rebbe written to both individual Chassidim and Mosdos regarding publicizing the Rebbe as Moshiach, or the entire year that the Rebbe himself encouraged the singing of 'Yechi Adoneinu' with all of his strength. It is also a shame that Rabbi Brod doesn’t remember the edition of Sichat Hashavua (Yud Shvat Nun-Gimmel) where he himself explains how the Rebbe said about himself that he is Moshiach!

Moshiach and Zionism

By the grace of G-d

5731
Mr. ----------
London, England

Greeting and Blessing:

Your letter reached me with some delay. In it you express your desire to learn more about the Lubavitch movement, etc. You also ask for clarification of certain questions.

Needless to say, it is difficult in the medium of a letter to expound adequately upon the various questions and matters that you touch upon in your letter. Actually, there is no need to have recourse to such correspondence, inasmuch as your Lubavitcher friends in London, whom you also mention in your letter and with whom you have personal contact, will be glad to go into some of these questions with you at length.

At any rate, in order not to turn you down completely, I will attempt to answer the first question that you put in your letter, where you refer to a statement of mine which you saw quoted in the press, to the effect that the happenings in our time in general, and in Eretz Yisrael in particular, are not the Beginning of the Redemption (Atchalta d' Geulah), while, on the other hand, I state that life in Eretz Yisrael must be conducted in accordance with the Torah, and you wonder whether there is an inconsistency there.

I wish to assure you that there is no inconsistency in the two statements, inasmuch as they are both based on Torah.

Thus, the first statement, namely, that we are not yet at the beginning of the Geula, is based on the clear ruling of the Rambam, who has explicitly defined the conditions and evidence by which to judge whether or not we are at the threshold of the Geula. Be it noted that this statement of the Rambam is to be found not in any of his non-Halachic works, where there may be room for various interpretations, but in his major Code, where he states the laws (dinim) in clear, precise and unequivocal terms. This is what he says after describing the last days of the Galut:

There will arise a king from the House of David, studying the Torah and practicing the mitzvot like his father David, according to the Written Torah and the Oral Torah, and he will induce all the Jewish people to walk in its ways and strengthen its repair, and he will battle the battles of G-d - it may be assumed that he is Mashiach. If he did so and was successful and built the Sanctuary in its place, and gathered the dispersed of Israel - then his is Mashiach with certainty...{Rambam, Hil. Melachim, ch. 11(end)

We see clearly that even after he induces all of the Jewish people to walk in the path of Torah, etc., it may only be assumed that he is Mashiach, but it is not yet certain, and it could in fact turn out that he is not. In other words, there is still a possibility that even this development will not necessarily spell the end of the Galut. As a matter of fact, the Rambam mentions in the previous halacha the fact that there was a time in Jewish history when it appeared that Mashiach had arrived, in the person of Shimon ben Kuziba, yet it later became quite clear that he was not. Only when - as the Rambam says - he will build the Sanctuary in its place and will gather the dispersed of Israel, only then will it be certain that he is Mashiach beyond all doubt.

On the basis of your letter, I think it is surely unnecessary to explain to you that the Jewish belief is that the end of the Galut will come when Mashiach himself brings about the ingathering of the exiles, as is clearly evident from the Rambam quoted above.

With regard to the second part of the statement, about the need to abide by the Torah, etc., I trust it is, again, unnecessary to emphasize to you at length that the Torah was given for all times, both in times of Galut and in times when the Bet Hamikdash was in existence. However, there are certain things which the Torah requires adherence only when the Jewish people are in a position to do so. By way of example: In your city of London, the Jews have no power to compel the closing of certain stores on Shabbat and Yom Tov, or enforce certain other laws. On the other hand, there were times in the past when a Jewish congregation or community had complete jurisdiction over its members, able to impose its will on the life and conduct of the congregation or community and bring it into strict accord with the Torah.

It follows, moreover, that the greater the authority and power the Jews have to direct and order their own life, the greater the duty to see to it that it be in accordance with the directives of the Torah.

Pursuant to the above, I trust you will not take it amiss if I add a personal note, to the effect that what has been said above about the conduct of a Jewish congregation or community, applies also to the individual Jew, namely, the obligation of a Jew to conduct his personal life in accordance with the Torah and mitzvot. This, of course, also includes the great principle of the Torah, V'Ahavta L'Reacha Kamocha{Lev. 19:18}, namely, to share a vision of the good by helping others move in the same direction. This is incumbent particularly upon one who goes beyond being just a private individual and who has an influence upon the many. The responsibility of such a person to exercise good influence in his immediate surroundings and in the world at large is, of course, all teh greater. In your case, I see that Divine Providence has granted you a special gift for writing articles and books, etc., through which you are able to reach a considerable segment of our brethren in different parts of the world. Clearly, it is your sacred duty to utilize this gift to inspire your readers to seek a closer identification with the Jewish people, not only in thought and speech, but in actual everyday life and conduct, in accordance with the principle of our Sages that the essential thing is the deed. {Avot, 1:17}

With blessing,

President Sarkozy Discusses Sheva Mitzvos

The newly elected president of France Nicolas Sarkozy, met with the Shliach of the Rebbe Melech Hamoshiach to Neuilly, Rabbi Dovid Zaoui, who presented the president with literature on the Sheva Mitzvos Bnei Noach. The bond between Sarkozi and Rabbi Zaui began about 12 years ago when Rabbi Zaui opened the Beis Chabad in Neuilly "Sarkozi always showed support for all Chabad activities, and he always seeks my advice before any important steps" Rabbi Zaoui told Chabad.info. Rabbi Zaoui offered him to write to the Rebbe by way of the Igros Kodesh...

...and he always received unbelievable answers.

Recently, after Sarkozy was elected as president of France, he has not forgotten his close friend and confidant, who he shares an ongoing relationship with.

Moshiach Makes Miracles

B"H

Recently signs were placed on Eged buses all over Eretz Yisroel (Land of Israel) with the words: Moshiach Oseh Nisim (Moshiach Makes Miracles) and a phone number which people can call to ask for Brachos (blessings from the Rebe King Moshiach) through the Igros Kodesh.

To promote the campaign, R' Avi Piamenta and his son have recorded a song to be used in Lag Baomer parades, radio and television advertisements, and much more. The song was composed spontaneously by a group of Temimim Farbrenging in Kfar Chabad...

THE DOCTORS SAID AN ABORTION WAS MANDATORY...

By the grace of G-d

Shalom uBrocha!

It's writen about the Rebbe King Moshiach:
1. And a shoot shall spring forth from the stem of Jesse, and a twig shall sprout from his roots.
And a shoot shall spring forth from the stem of Jesse And if you say, ‘Here are consolations for Hezekiah and his people, that they shall not fall into his hands. Now what will be with the exile that was exiled to Halah and Habor, is their hope lost?’ It is not lost! Eventually, the King Messiah shall come and redeem them.
a shoot [This is symbolic of] the royal scepter.
and a twig an expression of a sapling.
and a twig shall sprout from its roots and the entire section, and at the end (v. 11), "And it shall come to pass, that on that day, the Lord shall apply His hand again…[from Assyria]… Hence, [it is obvious] that this prophecy was said to console those exiled to Assyria.
2. And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, a spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and heroism, a spirit of knowledge and fear of the Lord.
3. And he shall be animated by the fear of the Lord, and neither with the sight of his eyes shall he judge, nor with the hearing of his ears shall he chastise.
And he shall be animated by the fear of the Lord He shall be filled with the fear of the Lord. [ed enos mera il luy in O.F., and He shall be enlivened.]
and neither with the sight of his eyes shall he judge For, with the wisdom of the Holy One, blessed be He, which is within him, will he know and understand who is innocent and who is guilty.

Yeshayahu - Isaiah 11

The story bellow clearly shows this manifest:

By M. Melamed

It was late at night and on Binyamin Boulevard in Netanya, the lights went out one by one. The street emptied out and the nighttime silence descended on the entire area. One house still had the lights on. It was the house of Rabbi Moshe Antizadeh, the rav of the Iranian shul. R’ Moshe was sitting and learning in his living room.

The Iranian community in Netanya had gotten used to the fact that their rabbi wasn’t an ordinary rabbi but also a Chabad Chassid. When they had any sort of trouble they knew they could ask him to help them write to the Rebbe through the Igros Kodesh. The miracle stories that resulted were the talk of the town.

So it didn’t surprise R’ Moshe when somebody knocked at his door at that late hour. He opened the door to see a woman who looked obviously in distress. He invited her in and asked how he could be of assistance.

The woman broke down as she said she had heard that you can write to the Rebbe…

THE DOCTORS SAID AN ABORTION WAS MANDATORY

After she calmed down, she began to relate her tragic story. “I am married for nearly ten years and I still don’t have any children. I’ve undergone medical treatment and three months ago I was told that I’m finally pregnant. I was thrilled of course, but my joy was short-lived.

“A few weeks ago I wasn’t feeling well and after a series of tests, the doctors said there’s a malignant growth in my uterus and I must have it removed. Since they can’t treat the growth while the fetus is in the uterus, they told me I have to abort within a week so they can start treatment as soon as possible.

“I’ve gone to the top doctors in the country and they all say I must abort, and every additional day endangers my life and increases the chance that the usual protocol won’t work to stop the malignancy from spreading. They say that will give them no choice but to remove my uterus.

“I’ve seen a number of rabbonim and after telling them what the doctors say, the rabbonim say I can do the abortion because, “ha’ba l’horgecha, hashkeim l’horgo” (if someone comes to kill you, rise up and kill him [first]).

“I’ve come to you in order to write a letter to the Rebbe for a bracha that the abortion go okay, without complications, and that the treatment that I’ll start right after that be successful. They should be able to get rid of the growth without having to remove my uterus, so I’ll still have a chance of having children.”

THE REBBE SAID: IT’S OUT OF THE QUESTION

R’ Moshe listened to the woman’s tragic story and said, “You’ve come to ask the Rebbe about a matter that concerns life and death. This is extremely serious and when you write to the Rebbe, you must tell him all the details and agree to follow whatever the Rebbe says.”

The woman nodded her agreement, took a pen and began to write her letter. R’ Moshe sat nearby and said Tehillim, praying that the woman would get a bracha for a refuah sheleima.

When she finished writing, she put the letter into a volume of Igros Kodesh and after she accepted the Rebbe’s Malchus by saying Yechi, R’ Moshe began to read the Rebbe’s letter.

When the woman heard the opening words of the Rebbe’s answer, she nearly fainted. The Rebbe explained at length the great prohibition in aborting a baby. He went on to explain how it is out of the question negated from any standpoint, both physically and spiritually. At the end of the letter, the Rebbe wished success in all matters.

“The Rebbe is telling you explicitly that you may not have the abortion done,” said R’ Moshe.

The woman looked at him in shock, not believing that a sane person could confidently tell her to oppose all the biggest doctors.

“Are you serious?” she asked skeptically. “Am I really supposed to ignore the warnings of all the doctors? It’s my life we’re talking about!”

Mrs. Antizadeh was present and her heart went out to the woman. She asked her husband to read the Rebbe’s answer again. Perhaps this woman’s situation was different. R’ Moshe took another look but the Rebbe’s answer was quite clear: no abortion!

He looked up from the letter and softly said to the woman, “I absolutely understand your feelings. It’s very hard to accept the Rebbe’s answer when all the doctors say the opposite. But thanks to my experience in similar situations, I can tell you: When the Rebbe says to do something or not to do something when it entails danger to life, listening to the Rebbe brings bracha and success, and not listening can entail real danger. I’m telling you – if you want to do the best thing for yourself and your baby, don’t do the abortion.

“I am absolutely confident that if this is what the Rebbe says, he also takes full responsibility for your wellbeing. The only thing that remains to do is to pick up the phone and tell the doctors that you will not be doing the abortion. Believe in the Rebbe’s words and you will see miracles take place.”

The woman left the rav’s house, her mind in a turmoil. In her ears rang the doctors’ warnings; that if she didn’t do the abortion now, they would have to remove her uterus in order to prevent the growth from spreading. On the other hand, there was the Rebbe’s clear answer. The Rebbe’s blessing for success at the end of the letter gave her some hope that perhaps she would give birth to the child she had waited for these ten years.

THE OPINION OF ANOTHER DOCTOR

The next day was Friday and on his way to shul, R’ Moshe saw the woman and her husband standing near the door, waiting for him. Before he had a chance to greet them, the husband exclaimed, “How can you take this upon yourself? You are taking advantage of a woman who is already on the brink of collapse. Do you want to leave me a widower?”

R’ Moshe stayed calm under attack and waited for the husband to calm down. Then he repeated what he had said the night before. “The Rebbe’s answers in the Igros Kodesh are not a game. People in worse situations were saved by listening to the Rebbe, and so you would be best off strengthening your bitachon in the Rebbe’s words. If you listen to the Rebbe, you’re assured of success.”

The husband didn’t look as angry but he still remained adamant about not listening to an answer that opposed all the doctors and rabbonim. For the next 24 hours he thought about what R’ Moshe had said. The strength and emuna had reached deep into his heart and on motzoei Shabbos he and his wife went to the rav’s house. They wanted to write to the Rebbe, asking him to consider the sensitive and dangerous situation and to perhaps permit the abortion.

The husband wrote the letter and put it in a volume of Igros Kodesh. The Rebbe’s answer was that if they still had doubts, they should consult with another top doctor.

The couple agreed to do this and to listen to what the doctor would tell them to do. R’ Moshe referred them to a world-renowned doctor who works at Hadassa Hospital in Yerushalayim. This doctor is a relative of a Lubavitcher in Netanya, and he had heard many stories about the answers from the Rebbe through the Igros Kodesh. He had seen quite a few brachos fulfilled and he agreed to examine the woman.

The examination on Sunday showed that the growth wasn’t as big as it seemed in earlier exams. This doctor was also of the opinion that an abortion had to be done, but unlike the other doctors, he said it didn’t have to be done so fast. He recommended waiting another week. Before they left his office, he encouraged them to have faith in the fulfillment of the Rebbe’s brachos.

TREMENDOUS SIMCHA AT THE BRIS

After a nerve-wracking week, in the course of which the couple did their best to strengthen their belief in the Rebbe’s words, they went back to the doctor’s office in Yerushalayim. She was taken in immediately, due to the seriousness of her condition, and the doctor had the results within a very short time.

His surprised but happy face broadcast the news. “A miracle has taken place. The Rebbe was right, once again! The tests we just did show that the growth is gone! There is no trace of it! There is no need for any treatment, and of course, no abortion is necessary!”

The woman found it hard to believe the news and insisted on another exam to verify the astounding news. Another test confirmed the miraculous results: there was no growth and the woman was fine!

A few months later, the woman gave birth to a healthy boy. The bris was celebrated with tremendous joy as the parents, and their relatives who heard the miracle story, praised Hashem for giving us the Rebbe King Moshiach Shlit"a , may he be revealed immediately!
(Few months ago I met Rabbi Moshe Antizadeh in 770 and he personaly verified the truth of this story.)
With respect and blessing.

Moshiach on the Six-Day war

Gathering at the Western Wall to express thanks and gratitude. From left to right: Rabbi Yisrael Ariel (in combat helmet), the Nazarite - HaRav David Cohen, and HaRav Tzvi Yehuda Kook. (from Temple Institute web site)

By the grace of G-d
The Rebbe King Moshiach Shlit"a (May He live forever and ever!) on the Six-Day War

The following is a transcript of the Rebbe’s remarks given in a private meeting on Av 5, 5727 (August 12, 1967), shortly after the Six-Day War, as recalled by Rabbi Chaim Gutnick of Melbourne, Australia, and published (in Hebrew) in Kfar Chabad Magazine, issue no. 806:

...Three times in our generation, G-d has granted us an opportunity for the beginning of the Redemption. But these opportunities were missed, and it is the Jewish leadership which is to blame.

The first opportunity was in 1948. You know that I have a particular enthusiasm for Rashi’s commentary on the Torah. Well, Rashi says regarding the waters of the Flood that, at first, G-d brought down “rains of blessing”[6] upon them and waited to see if they would repent; only after they failed to do so did this turn into the very opposite of “rains of blessing,” G-d forbid.[7]

In 1948, G-d sent “rains of blessing.” This was a time when even the Russians supported the Jewish people against the British, who had attempted to annihilate the nation of Israel. This was a time of opportunity. But the Jewish leaders stood by and debated whether or not to make mention of G-d’s name in the “Declaration of Establishment.”[8] Thus the Redemption was put off by fifty years.

The second opportunity was the Sinai Champaign [of 1956]. If the Jewish people would have believed that their salvation would come from G-d rather than from French MIGs and British warplanes, all would have been different.

But never has there been an opportunity such as this one. This was a war won by Torah and mitzvot. There can be no doubt of this. A Jew in Moscow recited Psalms, and a Jew in Buffalo, New York, put on tefillin, and this helped the Jews defeat their enemies in the Land of Israel.

If the Jewish leaders would have utilized the opportunity to rouse the people to the observance of Torah and mitzvot, our situation today would be entirely different. Think about it: a young man in Israel was summoned, handed an Uzi, and told: “Leave your wife and children at home and go to El-Arish to fight.” In every war there are draft-dodgers; here, no Jew, not even one for whom the word “Jew” is nothing more than an appellation, refused to fight. It was a time when the entire people of Israel were in a state of “We shall do and we shall hear.”[9] When this young man fought at El-Arish, his Torah and mitzvot fought for him. The Shechinah (Divine Presence) came down into the trenches to assist the soldier fighting on the borders of the Land of Israel.

If the Jewish leaders would have told that soldier to utilize the reserves of faith and courage that were revealed in him during the war toward a commitment to Torah and mitzvot, with the same “We shall do and we shall hear,” he, and the entire Jewish nation, would have responded, and everything would have been different. But again the leaders were silent, and the great opportunity was lost. They were too timid to tell the Jew the truth: that this is the time for a return to Torah.

The very first chapter of the first section of the Shulchan Aruch (Code of Jewish Law) begins not with Maimonides’ “Thirteen Principles of Faith,” but with the Rama’s ruling that “One should not be intimidated by mockers.” Why? Because when one does not fulfill this rule, one is prevented from fulfilling the entire Shulchan Aruch. Perhaps I speak too sharply, but the Jewish leadership is bankrupt. They avoid me because they know that I will demand of them to speak the truth. Their timidness to speak the truth, contrary to the rule, “One should not be intimidated by mockers,” is holding back the Redemption.

Jews must be told to keep Torah and mitzvot. I initiated the tefillin campaign—this is only the beginning. My hope is that through the mitzvah of tefillin, the Jewish people will be brought closer to other mitzvot—to keep kosher and Shabbat, and ultimately the entire Torah. My aim is that millions of additional hands should become tefillin-wearing hands.

The Jewish people will respond when spoken to about Torah and mitzvot. Not only teenagers—also forty-year-olds, people advanced and established in their lives, are ready to hear the truth, if only their leaders will speak it to them.

We still have not lost the opportunity. It’s still not too late. Now it is August.[10] If we will do our job, if the sheluchim[11] will do their job and tell the world the truth, we can bring the Redemption..

The Beard, A Source Of Blessing And Success

By the grace of G-d
The Beard, A Source Of Blessing And Success

Yoav longed to go to 770 for Tishrei. So he got the money together, arranged for his visa and a ticket, and then recalled that he had to get an exit permit from one of the government of fices.

A month before his flight, he went to pick up his exit permit and was told that the permit would be mailed to his home. Yoav was relieved and went about his business in the weeks remaining before his trip. When a few weeks had gone by and the awaited permit didn’t materialize, he began to get nervous. He called to find out the reason for the delay. He was told that they had no record of a request made on his behalf and thus there was no permit! The fact that an employee at the office had indeed promised him that the permit would be mailed to his house made no difference.
Yoav’s last minute attempts to procure the necessary document were fruitless, though, with unswerving faith, he continued to look forward to his trip as though there were no problem. Three hours before the flight, knowing that the moment of truth had arrived, Yoav took a volume of the Igros Kodesh.

He asked the Rebbe to be allowed to join him for Succos, and that he shouldn’t be asked for his permit at passport control. The words that leaped out at him from the letter said, "HaKadosh Boruch Hu kol yachol" [G-d is omnipotent].

That was all Yoav needed. He called his Rabbi and asked him to put in a request on his behalf in the Igros
Kodesh and he left for the airport.

The line moved quickly and soon it was Yoav’s turn to present his passport. The clerk flipped through it and then asked for his exit permit.

He said he did not have one.

Just at that moment one of Yoav’s friends handed his passport to a nearby clerk. She flipped through the passport and when she came to his picture she looked back and forth, from the picture to the person standing before her. "That’s not your picture, "she declared. "The man in the picture doesn’t have a beard, but you do."

Yoav’s friend, who had recently grown a beard, smiled and covered his beard with his hands, as though to say ,"Now see how I look without a beard. "The clerk saw that he did, in fact, look just like the picture. Then she showed her friend, who still held Yoav’s passport, how to identify someone with a beard. The friend looked in amusement as she stamped Yoav’s passport.

Later on, Yoav’s Rabbi told him that the letter he had opened to in the Igros Kodesh spoke about the importance of a beard and how it was a source of blessing and success.
