| הרה"ח ר' משה לברטוב ע"ה | Rabbi Moshe Levertov passed away today, Friday, at the age of 76, after a long illness. Rabbi Levertov was an eltere chossid who was educated in underground yeshivos in Russia. When R. Levertov reached American shores, he was sent by the Rebbe on shlichus to Pittsburgh where he lived for a number of years. After moving back to Crown Heights, he was a member of the Ezras Achim organization and worked tirelessly for the benefit of Soviet Jewry. He was a great Talmid Chochom and in his later years delivered a shiur in Kollel Tiferes Zekeinim in Crown Heights.
His levaya, which will be held on Sunday, will leave at 10AM from Shomrei Hadas chapel and will pass 770 at approximately 10:30 AM. R. Levertov leaves behind his wife, children and grandchildren who serve as shluchim of the Rebbe around the world.
